The Palm Beach County Filmmakers have released two short films since they started their meetings.

Short Film #1 (Directed by: Michael Haney)

“An Adventure with Hot Coffee” – now available online with 982 views on YouTube and the number is still rising.

This film was submitted to the LDUB FILM FESTIVAL and accepted for screening.

“The Magic Ticket” – now available online with only 160 views.  (Help us rise that number)

This film was submitted and accepted into the L-Dub Film Adventure Films Contest – It took 1st Place for the Audience Choice Award!

Unlike the first film, this one had requirements as to what we had to film.

  • A mustache prop
  • and the underlying theme “Although it is nice to be important, it is more important to be nice.”

Since the second film was released The Palm Beach County Filmmakers has continued to host their Meet and Mingle Events along with other film related activities.

Black Onyx TV update…

Hello stranger,

It has been a while! :) I am sorry I have not written in a while. I have been swamped with the film industry lifestyle. Not only behind the camera producing, directing & editing, but also acting here in South Florida. I never realized how easy it would be to become an actor yet so hard to be a good actor.

I have started taking acting lessons and I strongly recommend you do too if you are an actor. Building your resume is one of the keys to getting booked. I will post another blog soon to give you some tips and tricks on finding an agent and getting booked. This will be from my experience only.

Aside from my new acting endeavors and excitedly waiting to see my feature debut on Burn Notice July 29th, I am also waiting to see myself of The Glades. Burn notice is airing on Thursdays at 9pm on USA and The Glades is airing on Sundays on A&E at 10 and repeats at 11pm.

Two very good shows I recommend you see! ;)

I have recently started a meet up group for local independent filmmakers.
The Palm Beach County Filmmakers

Check it out and join us if you like!
As a brand new film group we have learned a lot from our first film project and we have certainly had a lot of laughs since our first short was a comedy written by Dave G. Jones. It was originally written by him as a short commercial skit intended for an ongoing series, but it has been revised by a few of our members to become an awesome full short film. Perhaps a series of these will be in the near future. ;)

I have so much to catch up on with you all, but I have to get to bed and start a new fresh work day tomorrow in the editing room for “Real People. Real Shifts.” I also have a family vacation I am editing and The Love Of Music TV series which can now be seen online at
Black Onyx on YouTube

Talk to you again soon.
Good night,
Talina
